STARTING TIMES: SATURDAY; PLAYERS TO BE SEATED BY 12.45PM. TOURNAMENT COMMENCES AT 1PM SHARP!
SUNDAY; PLAYERS TO BE SEATED BY 9.45AM. TOURNAMENT COMMENCES AT 10AM SHARP!
THERE WILL BE 2 ADJUDICATORS FROM THE HOST CLUB (NON-PLAYERS). THEY WILL BE ANNOUNCED PRIOR TO THE START OF PLAY. IN THE CASE OF A DISPUTE, THEIR WORD WILL BE FINAL!
WHEN THERE IS A DISPUTE TO BE ADJUDICATED, PLAY WILL STOP AT THE KING TABLE ONLY.
1. ALL GAMES WILL BE PROGRESSIVE.
2. ALL GAMES WILL BE TIMED BY THE KING TABLE AND THE SCORES WILL BE AS FOLLOWS;

THE KING TABLE WILL SCORE TO 5 (FIVE) POINT. ALL OTHER TABLES WILL PLAY TO 11 (ELEVEN) POINTS. WINNERS TO MOVE TO THEIR RIGHT FROM THE KING TABLE TO A GENERAL GAME AND THE KING TABLE MUST BE SUPERVISED. IF BY ACCIDENT THE BELL IS FALSELY SOUNDED, THE GAME WILL BE DECLARED COMPLETED REGARDLESS OF THE SCORE.
3. SCORE CARDS MUST BE IN THE CENTRE OF THE TABLE AT EITHER END.
4. FIRST GAME – FIRST JACK TO DEAL. ALL SUBSEQUENT GAMES– PLAYERS REMAINING AT THE TABLE TO CUT THE HIGHEST CARD (ACE) FOR THE DEAL.
6. ONCE THE DEALER HAS SHUFFLED THE CARDS, THE PRECEDING PLAYER MUST THEN CUT THE CARDS IMMEDIATELY PRIOR TO DEALING.
5. MISS-DEALS MUST BE RESHUFFLED AND CUT. A SECOND MISS-DEAL RESULTS IN THE DEAL BEING FORFEITED. IF ANY CARDS ARE EXPOSED DURING THE DEAL OR THE WRONG NUMBER OF CARDS ARE DEALT/NOTICED DURING THE HAND, IT WILL BE CONSIDERED AS A MISS-DEAL.
7. AT THE BEGINNING OF EACH GAME THE DEALER MUST WAIT TILL THE BELL RINGS BEFORE THE CARD IS TURNED UP.
8. NO TABLE TALK (E.G. SAYING; “THAT’S MY TRICK”, “ARE YOU GOING ALONE”). MUST BE RULED BY THE ADJUDICATOR TO FORFEIT POINTS.
9. EACH PLAYER MUST SPEAK IN TURN OR THEY WILL BE CONSIDERED TO HAVE PASSED– TO BE CONFIRMED BY THE DEALER.
10. IF YOU NAMED THE TURNED DOWN SUIT, YOUR CALL IS VOID AND YOUR PARTNER IS ALSO THEN EXCLUDED FROM MAKING A CALL.
11. ONCE A CARD IS TABLED (E.G PLACED ON THE TABLE) IT CANNOT BE TAKEN BACK.
12. ALL TRICKS MUST BE TURNED FACE DOWN WHEN TAKEN AND NEATLY STACKED IN CASE OF ADJUDICATION. ALL CARDS MUST BE PLAYED OUT, FACE UP, OTHERWISE MAXIMUM POINTS WILL OCCUR.
13. IF THE BELL GOES AND THE PREVIOUS HAND WAS COMPLETED, THERE SHALL BE ANOTHER DEAL IF THERE IS A CHANCE EITHER SIDE COULD STILL WIN THE GAME.
14. AFTER THE BELL SOUNDS; PLAYERS MUST HAVE AT LEAST TWO TRUMP CARDS TO ORDER TRUMPS UP OR DOWN AND THE TWO TRUMP CARDS MUST BE NOTICED IN THE COURSE OF PLAY. IF YOU DON’T HAVE THE REQUIRED TWO TRUMPS CARDS, YOU WILL FORFEIT THE GAME, EVEN IF LEADING.
15. IF THE SCORES ARE EVEN AT THE END OF PLAY (INCLUDING A FALSE BELL AT THE KING TABLE), THE FIRST TEAM TO THAT SCORE WILL BE THE WINNERS.
16. ALL WINNING PLAYERS MOVE TO THEIR RIGHT INCLUDING THE KING TABLE. DEFEATED PLAYERS SIT AT THE NUMBERED END OF THE TABLE.
17. WINNERS; PLEASE REMAIN SEATED UNTIL YOUR SCORECARD HAS BEEN MARKED BY THE LOSING TEAM. DEFEATED PLAYERS WILL HAVE THEIR SCORECARDS MARKED WITH AN X BY THE WINNERS. IN THE EVENT A PREVIOUS GAME IS NOT MARKED , IT WILL BE COUNTED AS A LOSS.
18. IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE DECLARER OF A LONE HAND TO MAKE SURE HIS/HER PARTNER IS AWARE OF THE CALL AND DOES NOT PLAY. IF THE PARTNER DOES PLAY A CARD, THEN NO LONE HAND WILL BE IMPOSED. THE HAND WILL BE COUNTED AS A GENERAL HAND.
19. AT THE COMPLETION OF THE TOURNAMENT, IF WINNING PLAYERS (ON THE HIGHEST POINTS) ARE TIED, THE PRIZES WILL BE ADDED TOGETHER AND SPLIT EQUALLY (E.G: 1ST WITH 2ND; 2ND WITH 3RD).
20. LAST GAME TO BE COMMENCED BEFORE 4.00PM.
21. THE NREC PLAYS WITHOUT THE 7’S IN THE PACK.
22. IF THERE ARE ONE, TWO OR THREE SPARE PLAYERS, THEY WILL BE PLAYED AS BYES. THE DELEGATE SELECTS SIT-OUT BY CHOOSING RANDOM NUMBERS.
23. CARDS FOR THE KING TABLE TO BE PRE-MARKED.
24. FIRST PERFECT HAND IS A PLAYER THAT HAS 2 JACKS, ACE, KING, QUEEN IN THEIR HAND AND THE HAND MUST BE CALLED TRUMPS. IT MUST BE THE FIRST PERFECT HAND OF THE DAY AND THE ADJUDICATOR MUST BE CALLED OVER TO DECLARE IT CORRECT BEFORE MONEY IS AWARDED.
25. A CLUB SHORT OF A PLAYER FOR A TROPHY EVENT MAY NOMINATE A MEMBER OF ANOTHER CLUB.
With a perfect hand can a dealer pick up a card from the pack to make a perfect hand after all players have passed? As this did happen at your tournment.
